This week we learn the latest offerings from Comcast Business's Michael Wilson and learn more about what to expect at the next Fail Fest in September.

First up on the show we are joined by Michael Wilson, the Public Relations Director for Comcast-Indiana. Michael Wilson has some exciting technological announcement from Comcast recently. In the last few weeks, Comcast announced a new technology called Machine Q. Machine Q leverages the latest in sensor, network, and software technologies to gather, transmit, and create actionable intelligence. This technology is only being introduced into 15 cities across the country - with Indianapolis being one of the 15.

Listen to all the great technology that Comcast is bringing to central Indiana in this segment. To learn more about their offerings, please visit https://www.xfinity.com/

Last up on the show is John Wechsler, the founder of Launch Fishers/Launch Indy/Launch Indiana. John is a busy guy and we were able to get a few minutes of his time to talk about the next Fail Fest. This will be the fourth year of Fail Fest and this year the event will take place at Launch Indy within Union 525 in downtown Indianapolis.

If you have never been to a Fail Fest before, it is a day-long celebration of failure. The whole event is based on the idea that we can learn and innovate from our failures. This day is full of speakers that share with everyone their biggest failures in life, business, sports or more.

Site Strategics was a part of the inaugural year of Fail Fest and we had a pretty good fail of our own that year (you can watch the video here).

First up on the show were Tristan and Rob. They are a part of the Brewers of Indiana Guild and are coming on the show to talk about the upcoming 22nd Annual Indiana Microbrewers Festival. It takes places on Saturday, July 29th at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis. The festival starts at 2 p.m. and you can buy tickets at their website here: http://indianabeerfest.com/

This festival has been named Indy's Best Local Beer Fest for the last two years and will feature 100s of beers from 100+ breweries. The event will also benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Indiana as well.

With this event, he hopes to bring a different lens to the employee experience - with a focus on brand and customer experience rather than a tradition HR angle.

Also joining the show were Julie Barker, Senior Director of Global HR at Appirio, and Max Yoder, Co-Founder & CEO of Lessonly, - both of whom are speaking at the event this year.

We were lucky enough to record a live show during Indy PopCon last week at their podcasting stage. Thank you to all of the people who showed up to listen! For this episode, since we were going to be broadcasting at PopCon, we wanted to talk film.

Starting TOMORROW is the start of the Indy Film Fest. We were joined by Chris Overpeck and Dan Moore and they helped plan the yearly festival. This year's festival takes place July 13-23 at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Some of the films they will feature this year are: Wind River, Lucky, and Patti Cake$

The festival is 10 days and there are several different ticket types available for purchase, depending on your schedule. If you want to purchase tickets, please visit their website: https://indyfilmfest.org/

You may not be aware, but one of the most influential companies for the movie studios is located right here in Indianapolis. Fizziology is a great company located in Broad Ripple and they provide social media data to all the movie studios (except Disney) to help them make casting decisions, choose opening days, and predict how well a movie will do at the box office. Their software tracks all the sentiment from users on websites like Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc. and they provide all of that data for TV and movie studios.

Ben Carlson and Jen Handley are Co-founders and Co-CEOs of Fizziology and they also own The Hatch, a co-working facility located in Broad Ripple. Having traveled regularly to the east and west coasts, they saw what worked and what didn't with the typical office and co-working facility. So, they put those lessons into their office and created The Hatch.

Have you heard about the new burger spot in Broad Ripple? BurgerFuel has opened up their first US location right here in Indianapolis. We'll find out why they chose Indy and learn more about BurgerFuel. Plus, this weekend, Indy PopCon is coming back to the Indianapolis Convention Center! We have Jake Waddell in our studio to talk about this year's convention and what we can expect this year!

First up on this show is Alexis Lam, the Marketing Manager at BurgerFuel. BurgerFuel is a restaurant based out of New Zealand and has jumped into the US market with their first location right here in Indianapolis in May. Alexis is here in the states for a few weeks and we were able to catch him before he takes the 12-hour flight back to the New Zealand.

BurgerFuel opened their first restaurant back in 1995 in Auckland, New Zealand. They have their sights set on more locations in the US, but those are kept secret for now.

Check out this fun interview with Alexis and learn more about their store in this show!

To learn more about BurgerFuel and their story, please visit their website.

Jake Waddell, the Assistant Event Coordinator of Indy PopCon, joins the show to talk about the upcoming Indy PopCon show at the Indianapolis Convention Center. The convention is held this weekend (July 7 to 9) with different events each day.

Some of this year's featured guests include Greg Grunberg (Alias, Star Wars, Star Trek, Heroes), Matt Ryan (Constantine, Assassin's Creed), Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Uncharted), and Johnny Yong Bosch (Power Rangers, Bleach).

Also new this year is the podcast awards. Every year they've had a podcasting stage for local podcasters to come and record a show at the conference but this year they are hosting an awards show.

You can still get tickets for the event. For ticket information and to learn more about Indy PopCon, please visit their website.
